Introduction
Christ Church is the Anglican (Church of England) Parish Church of Downend, serving a population of over 25,000 people including those living in the communities of Staple Hill, Blackhorse, Bromley Heath and part of Emersons Green.
The aim of all we do can be summarised in the invitation to build loving relationships. This vision is firmly rooted in the Bible's teaching about what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century. Our membership reflects the variety of ages and backgrounds in the parish and includes an increasing number of young families and children. We trust that whoever comes to Christ Church will find a friendly welcome, together with a varied and helpful pattern of worship and a genuine concern for all. There are always opportunities to be involved in the life and work of the church, as time and energies allow!
