Childrens Programme at Christ Church
We are blessed in Christ Church with many children who regularly attend on a Sunday and we provide groups for children from the age of 3 up to 14, as well as a crèche for the under threes, three Sundays per month.
The youngest group is called Sparklers. These are a mixture of pre-schoolers and reception age children. We explore the Christian Faith by means of stories and craft, and a time for prayer, which is developing into an important part of our time together as the children become more confident and want to contribute during this time. The adults helping feel moved and privileged to be part of this.
Connect is an initiative for the children from school years 1-6, divided into three different age groups. It aims to link the Bible with our everyday lives and connect adults and children as we explore the Christian faith in new and creative ways. Each month we look at a particular story, or theme from the Bible, introduced at the 'Big Story' (all age service) and developed over the following weeks from different perspectives, for example through drama, art, music, puppets, games… the list is endless. Each group is supported by "shepherds" who play a vital role in getting alongside the young people, and who lend a hand, whenever necessary, to help facilitate the workshop. Each workshop is led by somebody who has a particular interest or ability, in order to bring a new and fresh perspective.

- Quest at Haven House is for our older teenagers (14+) and it meets on the 2 nd & 4th Sunday mornings at Haven House, Staple Hill during the 10.30am service. It is a group that encourages looking at the Christian perspectives of current topics along with offering support.
