Christ Church is committed to working with people all over the world in helping others to connect with God through Jesus Christ. We are seeking to do this both locally and globally.
Local initiatives: Alpha
For those who want to explore what Christianity is really all about and how it is relevant to today’s world, the ten week Alpha Course has a great deal to offer. In a relaxed and informal atmosphere the big questions of life are honestly addressed, with the opportunity to meet lots of other people on a journey of discovery.

Local schools
We greatly value our involvement with Christ Church Infant and Junior School as well as other schools in the area, where members of the church regularly lead acts of worship and serve on the governing bodies.
Resources
Together with other local churches we maintain a selection of Christian books and DVDs in the local libraries.
World wide mission support
We actively support a number of mission agencies both in Britain and overseas, giving around £15,000 (over 10% of our annual income) to their work. Representatives are invited to preach and highlight areas for prayer. Special fundraising events for mission are also held each year, and we have a Traidcraft shop open every Thursday to support Fair Trade.
